A picture showing Union Home Minister Amit Shah's car has gone viral on social media. It shows Shah arriving at BJP headquarters in a car with the number plate 'DL1C AA 4421'.
This comes as the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is likely to announce the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019 regulations ahead of the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) gets enforced immediately after election schedule is announced, which is likely in the second week of March.
The CAA, which was passed by the Parliament in December 2019, has so far not been implemented. The law's passage was followed by nationwide protests, as critics called it discriminatory on grounds of religion and linked it to a potential nationwide National Register of Citizens (NRC) exercise.
Sources privy to the development told news agency ANI that "the regulations for the CAA could be announced anytime before the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct".
Last month, Shah had said that the CAA rules would be notified before the Lok Sabha elections.
"The CAA is a law of the country and its notification will definitely be issued. It will be issued before the polls. The CAA will be implemented before the elections. No one should have any confusion about it," Shah said on February 10, at the ET NOW Global Business Summit 2024.
