SS Rajamouli shares update on his next with Mahesh Babu

During his visit, Rajamouli was warmly received by fans, including an 83-year-old grandmother who presented him with a heartfelt gift of 1,000 origami cranes, symbolising good luck and prosperity.

In a recent interaction with fans at the RRR screening event in Japan, Rajamouli disclosed that the script for SSMB29 has been finalised, and pre-production is currently in progress. Mahesh Babu is confirmed as the sole actor on board, with casting for other roles underway. He said, “We started my next film. We completed the writing and we are in the pre-production process. But we haven’t finished the casting yet. Only the hero is locked, his name is Mahesh Babu. He is a very good actor. Many of you know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit fast and during the release I will bring him here.”

Rajamouli's mention of Mahesh Babu elicited enthusiastic cheers from the audience, with the filmmaker expressing his admiration for the actor's charm and pledging to bring him to Japan for SSMB29's release.

In another exciting development, reports from Telugu 360 suggest that Rajamouli is eyeing Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan to play a pivotal role opposite Mahesh Babu in SSMB29.
