Right then, that wraps up the second T20I, where India delivered another impressive performance to seal the series with one match still to play. This victory marks India's 16th consecutive T20I series win at home. With the series secured, we could see some of the bench players getting a chance in the final game. As for Bangladesh, they are still searching for their first win on this tour of India across formats and will be eager to finish on a high, particularly with Mahmudullah set to retire after this series. The third and final T20I will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday, October 12th. The first ball will be bowled at 1.30 pm GMT, but make sure to join us well ahead of time for all the exciting build-up to the match. Until then, cheers and goodbye!

Nitish Kumar Reddy is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his all-round showing - 74 (34) with the bat and 2 for 23 with the ball. He says that it feels great to contribute to the team and wants to enjoy this moment. Says that he should thank the captain and the coach for giving him the license to play his natural game. Tells that he took his time initially, but after that No Ball everything went his way. Shares that it feels great to play for the Indian team and hopes he can contribute more in future games.

Suryakumar Yadav, the victorious Indian skipper says he wanted a tough situation to see how the middle order performs and he is absolutely pleased with the way they played. Talks about the message to be loud and clear for the players to go out and express themselves and play freely. Mentions that he wanted to try to give all the bowlers a go to see what they had to offer. Says it was Nitish's day and he wanted him to go out and bowl with the new ball.

The captain of Bangladesh, Najmul Hossain Shanto says that they made the same mistakes which they did during the first game and need to improve. Feels that it was a good decision to bowl first and they started well but could not execute their plans afterwards. Reckons that as batters, they need to take responsibility and it is important to believe that once you get in, you can get a big score. Mentions that not picking wickets during the middle phase hurt them.

Time for the presentation ceremony...

Rinku Singh is down for a quick chat. He says he backs himself at tough times to keep things calm and believes in himself. Adds that he has practised a lot to bat the way he does and keeps talking to MS Dhoni for his input which helps. Mentions that his talk with Nitish was just to stitch a partnership and make the most of any bad balls that came their way which all started flowing after that No ball went for a six.

Earlier in the game, considering the dew factor, Najmul Hossain Shanto opted to bowl first. Right from the first over, it was clear that this wasn’t a typical Delhi batting paradise, with inconsistent bounce and balls holding up in the surface. After losing their top three within the Powerplay, a 108-run partnership between Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh rescued the hosts from trouble. Nitish started cautiously but shifted gears smoothly as the innings progressed. The Bangladeshi spinners also faltered several times with their lines and lengths during the middle overs, further aiding the duo's recovery. Cameos from Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag propelled India to 221. For Bangladesh, their pacers excelled with Taskin Ahmed being the pick of the bowlers but the spin duo of Mehidy Hasan and Rishad Hossain went for a combined total of 101 runs from their 7 overs.

In most cases, a strong Powerplay is imperative for the chasing side when chasing totals in excess of 200. Unfortunately for the visitors, this did not materialize, as they lost three wickets within the Powerplay. Consequently, they were left playing catch-up for the remainder of their innings. They struggled to build any substantial partnerships as India consistently chipped away at their wickets. Every bowler Suryakumar Yadav turned to, delivered for the side, with seven bowlers used throughout the night, and each one claiming at least one wicket. Bangladesh never found their rhythm in the chase, and with the Delhi surface not being its usual batting-friendly self, the balls stopping and holding up only added to their difficulties.

A comprehensive win for India to put the series to bed! Though they were pushed into a corner early on with the bat, they managed to find a way back and were never under pressure with the ball. A win by 86 runs marks India's biggest win in terms of runs against Bangladesh in T20I cricket. As for Bangladesh, they started well with the ball but will rue the missed opportunity of letting India off the hook after reducing them to 41/3, allowing them to recover and reach a total of 221.

11.4OUT! CAUGHT! Another one bites the dust! Mayank Yadav gets himself on the wickets' column now! Mayank bashes it on a back of a length at 148 kph, over middle, gets it around waist height. Jaker Ali hops to pull it away but gets rushed in his shot. Fails to get any sort of power behind the shot and it goes only as far as deep square leg where Washington Sundar takes it to his right. Bangladesh slip to 83/6 needing 139 more runs to win.

11.3On a hard length on off, Mahmudullah deftly taps the ball in front of point and sprints for a quick single. Drinks break! Bangladesh find themselves right behind the eight ball at the moment with the required rate already touching 15. Wickets at regular intervals have not allowed them to settle into any sort of a rhythm and a lot rests on the shoulders of this pair to get the visitors back into the contest. As for India, they have been disciplined with their lines and lengths and have used their smarts to make run-scoring difficult for the Bangladeshi batters. With Bangladesh needing 152 runs from 60 balls, Riyan Parag comes into the attack.

9.6Great effort in the deep from Washington Sundar. Saves 5 runs for his side! Mayank Yadav bangs it short and on middle and off, Mahmudullah looks to hoist it into the stands but fails to get the timing right. 7.1Great running! Shorter in length and outside off, Mehidy Hasan steers it past short third and sets off for the second run. The fielder from deep backward point charges to his left, collects the ball and throws it back to the keeper, Sanju Samson at the striker's end. Mehidy Hasan is quick across the second run and throws a full stretched dive to make his ground.

6.6Straight and full, on middle, Mahmudullah makes a good block straight to the bowler. Just the three runs and a wicket of Abhishek Sharma's first over!

Mahmudullah comes out to bat now with Bangladesh in all sorts of trouble. The veteran all-rounder will be retiring from T20Is at the end of this series and his side needs him to bail them out here.

6.1Tossed up, full and on middle, Mehidy Hasan pushes it to long on for a single.

5.6A loud appeal for LBW but the umpire shakes his head. After a long chat, Suryakumar Yadav sends it upstairs. This is quicker too, angling in on middle and leg, Towhid Hridoy goes on the back foot to work it away but gets beaten on the inside edge back onto the pads. The replay however rolls back on and the UltraEdge shows a spike as the ball passes the bat. The on-field call of NOT OUT stays and India lose a review.

Is that out? Varun Chakaravarthy looks convinced and after a chat, Suryakumar Yadav has sent it upstairs for an LBW review. The first replay shows a deflection and there could be an inside edge. Yes, the UltraEdge shows a spike as the ball is next to the bat.

5.5Pushed through quicker and fuller, on middle and leg, Towhid Hridoy taps it to mid-wicket.

5.1OUT! TIMBER! Varun Chakaravarthy makes an immediate impact! Bangladesh slip further down and lose Litton Das for 14 (11). Litton Das will be livid with himself for that shot selection. Varun Chakaravarthy bowls this straight on with the arm, on middle, angling in, the ball keeps a bit low off the surface as well. Litton Das sets himself for the swipe across the line but gets done in by the slowness of the delivery. It zips under his bat and knocks the middle stump off the ground.

4.4Pushed through, fuller and on off, Towhid Hridoy eases the drive to wide long on and gets off the mark with a single.

Towhid Hridoy walks out to bat at number 4 for Bangladesh.

4.3OUT! TAKEN! The simplest of catches for Hardik Pandya. Washington Sundar strikes in his first over. A big blow to Bangladesh as their skipper departs for just 11. Speared in from around the wicket by Sundar, on middle and leg. Najmul Hossain Shanto sees the mid off inside the circle and tries to go over him. He fails to create the desired room and ends up dragging it down towards long on. It goes straight down the throat of long on where Hardik Pandya takes it near his waist.

4.2This goes on with the arm, full and around off, Litton Das knocks it down to long on and crosses over.

Gets an inside edge that crashes back into the off stump. Bangladesh are now 20/1 after 2.3 overs, needing 202 runs from 105 balls.

2.2Did that carry? No, just short! Arshdeep bowls the knuckle ball, on a back of a length, on middle, Parvez Hossain Emon gets tucked up for room as he looks to launch it over mid on. Gets hit high on the bat and it goes flat to mid on. Suryakumar Yadav dives ahead and takes it on the half-volley.

2.1Swing and a miss! At 133.5 kph, swinging away, on a good length, outside off, Parvez Hossain Emon swings for the hills as he looks to go across the line. The ball does not rise as he expected and goes under the bat.
