Agartala, Oct 07 (PTI) With the installation of the gas turbine for the 726 mw gas based thermal power project at Palatana in South Tripura district, it is expected to start generation by February next, officials of ONGC Tripura Power Corporation said today. The puller vehicle which was carrying the 300-ton turbine from Ashuganj river port in Bangladesh to Palatana was skidded off about 25 km away from the project site in May, pulled out and taken to the site in June and installed on September 28 last, they said. "We have completed 75 per cent work for the first unit of the mega power project as the USA-made gas turbine has been installed without any problem", they said.
