Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP) is a safety assessment of Indian cars based on various parameters, which are aligned with global testing protocols. Based on the findings of the test, BNAP issues ratings to car manufacturers on the safety of the cars. Potential car customers can refer to these star ratings to compare the safety standards of different vehicles, and accordingly make their decision.
