With companies set to enter the third quarter of the fiscal, Moneycontrol ran a check on those that have historically delivered returns of over 35 percent to investors during the quarter. Surprisingly, in the entire BSE universe, only one company managed to meet the criteria.
Secunderabad-based Bambino, manufacturer of pasta and vermicelli, has proven to be best price performer during October-December quarter, consistently delivering over 35 percent in the quarter every year for the last five fiscals.
The stock, listed only on the BSE, has given a return of 600 percent in the last six years. However, investors will do well to remember that it is a small cap and an illiquid scrip.
Interestingly, the company has consistently clocked sales of over Rs 70 crore in the September quarter for the last five years. This may have led to its share price soaring in the following quarter.
