Shahina Mukadam, Independent Market Expert told CNBC-TV18, "We are very close to the numbers so for IT companies, it is a little tough to give a call, but still I would recommend a hold on Mindtree. Keep a strong stoploss which is close to the current levels, about Rs 490."
She further added, "The numbers of FY18 should be better driven by acquisitions. Last year, we had seen sort of a tepid type of performance. At the same time the overhang on IT companies as a whole, both in terms of currency headwinds which is definitely going to be there impacting the numbers as well as increased costs in terms of employee costs, visas, etc. So the overall business climate is also a bit tepid. But given the product profile of Mindtree, I would suggest a hold. If it is able to report good numbers as is expected, then I would see the stock for another one year going to about Rs 600."
