Buy L&T for long term: Shahina Mukadam

Shahina Mukadam, Independent Market Expert told CNBC-TV18, "With the way the economy we hope will shape up in terms of infrastructure addition over the next 2-3 years, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) definitely is a long-term buy. The investor needs to keep in mind that tomorrow the stock will go ex-bonus."

"There is 1:2 bonus, so for the shorter-term one needs to keep in mind the reason for what he/she is buying it, if it is just to take some profits after it goes ex-bonus or for tax planning or whatever but for the longer-term with earnings estimate I have 15 percent type of growth and the valuation about 18 times P/E multiple is reasonable for a stock like L&T. So if one buys it for the longer-term, I believe, one should make good money," she added.
