Nifty February 5700 Call added 9.9 lakh shares in OI
Nifty rollover was at 45% as against 48% on D-1 of January expiry. Highest rollover was seen in media, cement & infrastructure while lowest rollover in banking, information technolovgy & fertilizers.

NSE F&O January series expiry is due today. February total open interest (OI) stood at Rs 77,944 crore and total stock futures' OI at Rs 125 crore.Nifty rollover was at 45% as against 48% on D-1 of January expiry. Highest rollover was seen in media, cement & infrastructure while lowest rollover in banking, information technolovgy & fertilizers. Nifty Open Interest PCR was down at 0.89 versus 0.93. Nifty February 5700 Call added 9.9 lakh shares in OI and Nifty February 5800 Call added 5.3 lakh shares in Open Interest.Fresh shorts & cash based selling were seen in HUL post disappointing quarterly numbers. The stock tanked 5.5%; its OI was up by 11% and delivery volume increased to 23 lakh shares as against 12.8 lakh.Unwinding was seen in ICICI Bank. The stock was down 4% and its OI was down by 4%. Delivery volume declined at 21.4 lakh shares versus 29.6 lakh.Speculative unwinding and cash based selling were seen in Suzlon Energy. The stock fell 2.5%; its OI was down by 11% and delivery volume jumped at 23.5 lakh shares as against 16.2 lakh shares.Fresh longs & cash based buying were seen in Idea Cellular. The stock went up 3.2%; its OI was up by 4% and delivery volume increased at 20.1 lakh equity shares versus 4.5 lakh.Speculative unwinding & cash based selling were also seen in Praj Industries. The stock was down 4.3%; its OI was down 19% and delivery volume went up at 6.9 lakh shares versus 4.2 lakh shares. Promoters had bought nearly 21 lakh shares at Rs 72/share.
