NAVs end with negative returns; as markets end flat

Equity diversified NAVs ended lower with advance:decline ratio of 39:210, as the Indian benchmarks closed extremely volatile session on a flat note on Monday while broader markets underperformed benchmarks.
The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 18,882, with gain of just 22 points. The 50-share NSE Nifty settled at 5654.75, up just 0.2 points, after trading in a range of 5625-5680. However, the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices were down 1.4% each. On the sectoral front, pharma and FMCG funds declined while banking and technology funds advanced. Long and short term debt funds ended with positive returns; their advance:decline ratio stood at 54:23 & 106:8, respectively. - Equity diversified NAVs end lower
