The Reserve Bank of India today announced a special liquidity facility (SLF-MF) of Rs 50,000 crore for mutual funds (MFs) with a view to helping them tide over increased redemption pressure in the aftermath of the Franklin Templeton shutting down six debt funds. The RBI's liquidity facility for mutual funds will be effective today till May 11, 2020 or up to utilization of the allocated amount, whichever is earlier.
