Equity markets surged in the afternoon session, with the Nifty crossing the 25,000 mark and the Sensex rallying over 1,200 points, buoyed by broad-based buying. All sectoral indices closed in the green, led by 1–2 percent gains in realty, oil & gas, metals, media, IT, autos, and banking.

Rate-sensitive sectors like real estate and automobiles outperformed on the back of optimistic industry outlooks. The rally was further supported by easing domestic inflation and encouraging cues from the U.S. on a potential trade deal with India. Midcaps and smallcaps also joined the uptrend, rising 0.6 percent and 0.9 percent respectively.

Shree Cement Shree Cement

Shree Cement shares rose 2.6 percent in today’s session. However, Prabhudas Lilladher has assigned a 'Reduce' rating to Shree Cement, setting a target price of Rs 29,152. The company continued its value-over-volume approach in FY25, delivering industry-leading EBITDA per tonne, though overall volumes remained largely flat.

Hero Motocorp Hero Motocorp

Hero Motocorp shares surged by over 6% intraday. This comes after a strong Q4 performance, rural demand, EV plans and solid financial metrics. The two-wheeler maker is aiming to outpace the industry’s projected 6–7 percent growth this fiscal, buoyed by robust rural demand

Tata Steel Tata Steel

Tata Steel continued yesterday’s gains, climbing another 2 percent today. Prabhudas Lilladher remains bullish on Tata Steel and has maintained a 'Buy' rating on the stock, despite continued EBITDA losses from its European subsidiaries, particularly in the UK.

Shares of defence player Astra Microwave surged over 12% following the company's announcement of fund-raising plans. The management also stated that it may convene an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) to seek shareholder approval for the proposed capital raise.

IndusInd Bank shares fell 3% in today’s trading session. The movement comes after reports of a fresh internal audit probe on accounting issues. The new inquiry pertains to entries under “other assets” and “other liabilities” in operating expenses.

Jubilant Foodworks Jubilant Foodworks

Jubilant Foodworks shares declined 2% today on mixed quarterly results. According to Nuvama, Jubilant FoodWorks sustained strong double-digit like-for-like (LFL) growth, managing to improve profitability despite a dip in gross margins.

Wendt Wendt

Wendt (India) shares have plunged 17% from their peak following news of the foreign promoter's planned exit. Its foreign promoter WENDT Gmbh announced its intensions to sell its entire stake in the company through an Offer For Sale (OFS) process.

Torrent Power Torrent Power

Torrent Power shares experienced a downturn in today's session, falling by 2.03%. Despite reporting a record 146 percent jump in Q4 net profit, investors focused on a dip in revenue and the quality of earnings.
