MC Exclusive | India INX to launch Sensex futures contracts soon

India INX, the subsidiary of BSE Limited is set to launch Sensex contracts soon, said people in the know.

The Sensex contracts will be available at India INX with a monthly expiry on last Tuesday of every contract month and will be settled in USD, a person with direct knowledge added.

The futures contracts will replicate the BSE Sensex index. The minimum ticket size will be USD 1, which means if the Sensex is trading at 83,000, the price of one futures contract will also be USD 83,000.

Currently, NSE IX, the subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange offers contracts of GIFT Nifty replicates the Nifty 50 index.
