Leading stock exchange BSE has revised circuit limits for share movement of Bharati Defence and Infrastructure and 10 other companies as part of its surveillance action.

The new limits, which ensure that stock prices do not go up or down beyond a level during a trading session, will be effective from tomorrow.

The price of eight companies -- Bharati Defence and Infrastructure, Avon Lifesciences, Next Mediaworks, MSP Steel & Power, Surya Marketing, Ultracab (India) Ltd, Yogya Enterprises and Maithan Alloys -- can not change by more than 10 per cent in a day, BSE said in a circular today.

It has also set an upper limit of 5 per cent for Pact Industries, Tiger Logistics (India) and Pearl Polymers.

"Trading members of the exchange are informed that the circuit filters has/have been changed from their existing levels... with effect from April 21," BSE said.
