    Over the past year, Indian markets have trailed global benchmarks. The Nifty 50 TRI returned 13.38%, the Sensex gained 14.1%, and the Nifty Bank rose 10.6%. In contrast, the MSCI Emerging Markets Index advanced 18.9%, and the MSCI World Index gained 16.2%.
