At 7: 41 am (IST), Asian markets were trading mixed. China's Shanghai Composite was down 0.11% or 3.04 points at 2,856.53.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was flat at 23,150.81.

Japan's Nikkei was up 0.28% or 26.63 points at 9,647.45.

Singapore's Straits Times was flat at 3,171.70.

South Korea's Seoul Composite was up 0.26% or 5.45 points at 2,100.96.

Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was flat at 8,887.77.
