Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd (ABDL) on Tuesday reported over four-fold jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 47.56 crore in the September quarter on strong margin and interest cost savings.

It posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 11.34 crore in the July-September period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from ABDL.

V-Mart Retail Ltd on Tuesday reported narrowing down of its net loss to 57.99 crore for the September quarter.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 86.42 crore in the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal year, according to a regulatory filing from V-Mart, a value retailer.

Recycling player BCL Industries on Tuesday reported a 64 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 21.01 crore for the September quarter on account of higher income.

It had posted a loss of Rs 12.83 crore in the July-September period of the preceding 2023-24 fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing.

During the second quarter, the company's total income also rose to Rs 533.84 crore from Rs 368.62 crore a year ago, a rise of 44 per cent year-on-year.

Electrical goods manufacturer V-Guard Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported a 17.7 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 69.39 crore in the September quarter.

It posted a net profit of Rs 58.95 crore in the July-September period last fiscal, according to a regulatory filing.

The company's revenue from operations rose 14.13 per cent to Rs 1,293.99 crore during the period under review. It was Rs 1,133.75 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

Genus Power Infrastructures on Tuesday reported a multifold jump in its standalone net profit of Rs 58.25 crore in the September quarter due to higher income.

It had posted Rs 11.02 crore in the July-September period of the preceding 2023-24 fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing.

TD Power Systems Ltd on Tuesday reported about 26 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 41.27 crore during the September quarter, on account of higher income.

It had posted a net profit of Rs 32.77 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.

The company's total income rose to Rs 312.59 crore from Rs 276.50 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) on Tuesday reported multi-fold rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 63.93 crore during the September quarter.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 6.38 crore in the year-ago period, HCC said in a regulatory filing.

However, the consolidated income of the company during the July-September period declined to Rs 1,432.41 crore, from Rs 1,870.79 crore a year ago, the filing said.

Auto component maker ASK Automotive on Tuesday reported a 63 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 67 crore in the July-September quarter of 2024-25 compared to the year-ago period.

The country's largest brake shoe and advanced braking systems manufacturer for two-wheelers had reported a net profit of Rs 41 crore in the second quarter of the previous fiscal.

Total income during the quarter under review increased 22.2 per cent to Rs 976 crore from Rs 798 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY 24, the company said.

Cipla Ltd on October 29 reported a 15.21 percent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,303 crore in Q2FY25, compared to Rs 1,130.91 crore in the same period of the previous financial year. The net profit stood at Rs 1,177.64 in the previous quarter.

Maruti Suzuki on October 29 reported an 18 percent fall in consolidated net profit at Rs 3,102.5 crore in the second quarter of FY25, compared to Rs 3,786.2 crore in the same period of the previous financial year, according to an exchange filing.

In the previous quarter, the automaker had registered a net profit of Rs 3,759.7 crore, the filing showed.

The total revenue from operations rose marginally to Rs 37,449.2 crore in the reported quarter over Rs 37,339.4 crore  in the year-ago period.

The company's shares reacted negatively to the fall as stock declined almost 5 percent to trade at Rs 10,935.55 on NSE at 13:34 pm.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd on October 29 registered a 40 percent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,445 crore in the second quarter of financial year 2024-25, compared to Rs 1,747.85 crore in the same period of the previous financial year, according to the exchange filing.

In the first quarter of the current financial year, the company posted a net profit of Rs 3,112.83 crore, the filing showed.

The total revenue from operations stood Rs 7,067.02 crore in the reported quarter.

The stock of the company was trading marginally higher at Rs 1357.75 on BSE at 13:11 pm.

Canara Bank on October 29 reported an 11 percent rise in net profit at Rs 4,015 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024 compared to Rs 3,606 crore in the year-ago period, according to the exchange filing.

The PSU lender's total income rose 10 percent to Rs 34,721 crore in Q2FY25. The NII rose 4.6 percent YoY.

Symphony Ltd on October  29 reported a 2.7 percent drop in consolidated net profit at Rs 144 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year over Rs 148 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.

In the first quarter of FY25, the company had registered a net profit of Rs 59 crore, the filing showed.

The company's revenue from operations in the reported quarter stood slipped almost 27 percent to Rs 846 crore, compared to Rs 1,156 crore in the year-ago period. The company also announced an interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share for the ongoing financial year.

Shares of Spandana Sphoorty Ltd fell as much as 17 percent on October 29 after the microfinance (MFI) lender reported a net loss of Rs 204 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024, compared to a net profit of Rs 116 crore in the year-ago period. Read more
