Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals today reported a 2.72 percent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 91.99 crore for the quarter ended September 30, mainly on account of robust sales.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 89.55 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise said in a filing to BSE.
Income form operations of the company rose to Rs 1,634.10 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 1,409.73 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
Sales from healthcare services stood at Rs 924.32 crore for the second quarter compared to Rs 827.73 crore in the same period a year ago.
Pharmacy segment sales also rose to Rs 709.93 crore for the July-September quarter as against Rs 582.13 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise were today trading at Rs 1,270.50 per scrip in the afternoon trade on BSE, down 2.89 percent from its previous close.
