    ICICI Securities has come out with its first quarter (April-June) earnings estimates for the Paints sector. The brokerage house expects Akzo Nobel to report a 0.6 percent growth quarter-on-quarter (up of 16.8 percent year-on-year) in net profit at Rs 52.9 crore.Sales are expected to increase by 5.9 percent Q-o-Q (up 8.9 percent Y-o-Y) to Rs 717.2 crore, according to ICICI Securities.Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) are likely to fall by 0.6 percent Q-o-Q (up 15.7 percent Y-o-Y) to Rs 85.4 crore.ICICI Securities's report on Akzo NobelWe expect topline to grow by 8.9 percent driven by 10-11 percent volume growth.EBITDA margin is expected to go up by 70bps Y-o-Y driven by gross margin expansion of 104bps Y-o-Y.PAT to be up 16.8 percent Y-o-Y driven by both volume growth and margin improvement.   Disclaimer: The views and investment tips expressed by investment experts on moneycontrol.com are their own, and not that of the website or its management.
