    Exide Industries Q4 PAT up 6.5% at Rs 132 cr

    Country's biggest storage battery producing company Exide Industries is set to report fourth quarter profit after tax of Rs 132 crore, growth of 1.9% as compared to Rs 134.5 crore in same quarter the previous year and 6.5% growth compared to Rs 124.4 crore in December quarter 2010, according to CNBC-TV18 poll.

      Country's biggest storage battery producing company Exide Industries is set to report fourth quarter profit after tax of Rs 132 crore, growth of 1.9% as compared to Rs 134.5 crore in same quarter the previous year and 6.5% growth compared to Rs 124.4 crore in December quarter 2010, according to CNBC-TV18 poll.


      Revenues are likely to go up by 10% to Rs 1,135 crore from Rs 1,030 crore on year-on-year basis and quarter-on-quarter basis growth could be 8%.


      Operating profit margin is expected to be at 16.4% as against 21% on YoY basis and 15.2% on QoQ basis.

      What to watch out for


      -Exide is likely to post a 8% QoQ growth in its top-line, mainly on account of a pickup in sales from the automotive segment and volume growth in the industrial segment, especially UPS.
