Bajaj Hindusthan Q1 net loss seen at Rs 35 cr

Sugar major Bajaj Hindusthan is set to report net loss of Rs 35 crore for the quarter ended December 2010 as against profit of Rs 82.5 crore in same period the previous year.

    Sugar major Bajaj Hindusthan is set to report net loss of Rs 35 crore for the quarter ended December 2010 as against profit of Rs 82.5 crore in same period the previous year, according to CNBC-TV18 estimates.


    Sales are seen going up to Rs 810 crore from Rs 615.4 crore during the same period. Operating profit margin is seen declining at 8.1% versus 32.57%.

    Factors to watch
    * Losses to continue on high leverage (Year ended September saw an outflow of Rs 300 crore in interest from an EBITDA of Rs 336 crore)
    * Expected to sell 2.5 lakh tones of sugar in Q1
    * Average realizations seen closer to Rs 29/kg
