Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, inaugurated the Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School (NMAJS), conceptualised and designed as a state-of-the-art campus and a new institution of learning, on her 60th birthday on November 1.

The Vaastu Pooja of the new Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School was held in the presence of Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries Chairman, Nita Ambani, family, friends, well-wishers, students, and teachers.

The NMAJS features adaptable learning environments that allow students to collaborate in small or large groups for personalized instruction.

The institution of learning is situated in close proximity to the Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) campus at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

NMAJS, prepared to reshape the standards of teaching and learning, is ready to continue the journey of excellence initiated by Dhirubhai Ambani International School Founder & Chairperson Nita Ambani.

NMAJS, a comprehensive international school, provides the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) curriculum. The school aims to transform into a child-centric establishment, fostering a joyful educational environment while dedicating itself to equipping the forthcoming generation with the essential skills and values necessary for the 21st century.

Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson, said their vision for DAIS was to create a joyful environment for learning and teaching, and within a mere two decades, they have positively impacted the lives of numerous children and their families.

Nita Ambani added, "It is with a great sense of gratitude and optimism that we look ahead to the future as the new generation takes the lead, with a strong commitment to building on this culture of excellence. I am honoured to dedicate this new temple of learning – NMAJS – to the city of Mumbai, and to the entire nation.”

Isha Ambani, the Vice-Chairperson, and the driving force behind the vision and development of this school of the future, said, “My mother, my role model, envisioned DAIS as an international school with an Indian mind, an Indian heart, and an Indian soul, and it has transformed the face of education in India in unimaginable ways. We have built NMAJS on the foundational principles and unique strengths of DAIS, with the overarching goal of equipping children with 21st century skills.”

The NMAJS premises is designed by renowned architects, Perkins & Will, and constructed by Leighton, known for its successful track record in building numerous cutting-edge campuses.

The competence and commitment of teachers play a crucial role in shaping the future of any school, and NMAJS has been able to attract the best talents from across the world to provide an education in line with its vision, the press statement issued by Reliance Industries read. An educational institution’s mission is fully accomplished when the parent community wholeheartedly supports its philosophy and practices, and NMAJS is fortunate to have their unwavering support, always, it further stated.

The goal of Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School is to transform into a child-centric institution — a joyful school dedicated to equipping the next generation with the essential skills and values necessary for the 21st century.
