ICICI Bank launches mobile app development challenge

    Country's largest private sector lender ICICI Bank launched the second edition of its mobile application development challenge.

    "Through 'ICICI Appathon' season II, we intend to collaborate with innovative technopreneurs. We believe that programmes like these will encourage young developers to create world class banking applications on mobile," its managing director and chief executive Chanda Kochhar said.

    The first edition of the event had received over 2,000 entries and over 250 APIs including those from Visa and IBM are on offer to the participants in the current edition, it said in a statement.

    Top three winners in the competition, aimed at developers, technology companies, startups, technopreneurs and students across the globe, will get a prize money of Rs 20 lakh each, it said.
