Domestic automaker Hero MotoCorp on April 22 announced a change in senior leadership after its Chief Technical Officer Arun Jaura stepped down from his role to pursue personal endeavors, according to an exchange filing.
Jaura had joined the two-wheeler maker in January 2022 and his last day will be April 30, 2024, the filing said.
“Arun joined the company as CTO in January 2022 and has played a pivotal role in enriching our product portfolio. During his tenure, the Company has witnessed the successful launch of several products, significantly enhancing our product offerings to customers in both the Indian and global markets. We extend our best wishes to Arun and thank him for his contributions. His last day of employment with us will be April 30, 2024,” the statement from Hero MotoCorp said.
Vikram Kasbekar will take over the position of CTO, in addition to his existing role as the head of global product planning. He will also assume the responsibility of leading the R&D function, the filing said.
“An executive director on the HMCL Board, Vikram possesses extensive experience across R&D, product planning, and manufacturing operations. Vikram previously led this function and oversaw the smooth and successful transition from BS4 to BS6 emission standards,” the company statement said.
