Healthify, formerly known as HealthifyMe, has launched HealthifyRx, a new weight loss program in India that combines GLP-1 medications, such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, with clinical oversight, structured nutrition therapy, strength training, and behavior change coaching.

The program, developed with input from experts at Stanford, Harvard, and leading Indian endocrinologists, aims to maximize sustainable weight loss outcomes and minimize potential side effects associated with GLP-1 therapies.

While GLP-1 therapies have shown significant weight loss results globally, studies indicate that without lifestyle intervention, weight regain is common due to factors like muscle loss and metabolic slowdown. HealthifyRx is designed to address this by providing a phased clinical model that includes initial diagnostics and "pre-hab" focusing on nutrition and strength, a supervised GLP-1 dosing phase, and a final phase supporting medication tapering while emphasizing long-term metabolic balance.

The program utilizes Healthify's AI tools, including Snap for nutrition tracking and Ria for AI coaching, complemented by guidance from a team of Registered Dietitians in both the U.S. and India. Support features include MuscleGuard™ strength plans and GI Safeguard Kits. Healthify has also partnered with Tata 1mg to provide medication and diagnostic services across the country.
Tanmay Saksena, COO at Tata 1mg, stated, "By enabling trusted access to medicines and labs, we’re helping build a medically robust, nationwide platform for safe and effective weight loss."

Tushar Vashisht, Co-founder and CEO of Healthify, highlighted that while medications can initiate weight loss, "the real medicine is lifestyle — nutrition, strength, and psychology - delivered via Healthify - are what keep the weight off sustainably."

Dr. Ambrish Mithal, Chairman of Endocrinology at Max Healthcare, commented on the approach, saying, "GLP-1 medications have opened a new frontier in obesity care, but medication alone cannot deliver lasting results." He emphasized that integrating medical therapy with intensive lifestyle support is crucial for sustainable metabolic transformation. Dr. Shebani Sethi, Associate Professor at Stanford, added that these medications "work best when paired with real lifestyle change and careful monitoring."

HealthifyRx is available nationwide through the Healthify app and website in two formats: a Full Service plan and a Companion version for those already on GLP-1 therapy. Healthify aims for the program to be a key component in the development of India's GLP-1 care infrastructure as access to these medications grows.
