Ranbaxy down 2% on fears of backlash from doctors

According to a newspaper report Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai has advised its doctors to stop using Ranbaxy's drugs. The report comes after Ranbaxy pleaded guilty in the US to felony charges related to manufacturing at two of its plants, earlier this month.
Cipla Q4 disappoints; sales up 2.4%, net down 8%
Generic drug maker Cipla's fourth quarter sales grew marginally by 2.4 percent to Rs 1910 crore from Rs 1865 crore, a year ago. The company's operating profit margins improved by 270 basis points from 18 percent to 20.7 percent.
ONGC's Q4 net down 39% on volume decline
Oil and Natural Gas Corp 's March quarter profit declined 39 percent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 3388 crore. Total incomes went up marginally to Rs 21830 crore from Rs 21093 crore QoQ.
Tata Motors beats street; Q4 net at Rs 3945cr

Tata Motors surprised the street with fourth quarter consolidated net profit at Rs 3,945 crore as against analysts' expectations of Rs 2,990 crore on strong operational performance. It had reported a net profit at Rs 6,234 crore in a year ago period.
HDIL Q4 loss at Rs 280cr; revenues fall 77%
Mumbai-based real estate developer Housing Development and Infrastructure ( HDIL ) disappointed the street with its fourth quarter net loss at Rs 280 crore as against profit of Rs 315 crore reported in a year ago period, impacted by consolidated exceptional loss of Rs 442 crore during the quarter.
TCS bags Rs 1,100 cr contract from Department of Posts
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said it has bagged a six-year contract from the Department of Posts (DoP) worth over Rs 1,100 crore.
SBI, Kotak Bank among 30 violating KYC norms: RBI report

A Reserve Bank of India study has brought into light irregularities that are plaguing the entire banking system. The recent expose by Cobrapost was limited to questionable transactions in Axis Bank , ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank , but the RBI study has found out Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) violations in a thematic study of 30 banks, sources told Gopika Gopakumar of CNBC-TV18.
Cabinet to decide Vodafone tax issue on June 4
The Vodafone taxation issue is likely to be discussed by the Cabinet on June 4 say Finance Minister sources. CNBC-TV18's Aakansha Sethi reports that the cabinet note on the matter is seeking a nod for conciliation with the telecom giant.
