Buy Ashok Leyland, Infosys, Vedanta, hold SBI; sell HPCL: Sudarshan Sukhani

Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com is of the view that one can buy Ashok Leyland, Infosys and Vedanta and hold SBI while one can exit HPCL.

Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "Ashok Leyland is a buying opportunity. After a long time it has now completed its correction, building a base and now willing to go higher. So, consider that for the day and even carry positions if it closes strong."

"Infosys after that one day decline - all tech stocks have turned around and that is okay because the trend is clearly up. So, Infosys is a buy again and again a stock that you can carry forward."

"Metals are going to be an outperformer. All metal stocks are giving that sense not only in India, but the commodity itself is giving us that sense. So, Vedanta is a buying opportunity. The stock is a now at the day’s high, I presume but even at current level, consider buying it and again if it closing strong carry it forward."

"I think one should sell Hindustan Petroleum Corporation. HPCL is now giving signs of weakness and that is happening to both the oil marketing companies. Maybe it is related to crude, maybe it is related to news that we don’t understand or don’t know but whatever the reason the charts are weak, sell out and stay away."

"The short term view on State Bank of India (SBI) is still upbeat. I think SBI is ripe for another rally. It is difficult to say whether it will happen pre-Budget or post-Budget but in the next three months we should see another big run-up in SBI. So, the short-term view is positive and hold on," he said.
