How can you have Holi splash without mixing and tossing up some special drinks. Here we have brought a special selection of easy to make drinks for your Holi party. Be your own bartender and have a happy colorful celebration.

Mojito Thandai,

Mojito Thandai recipe for Holi party Mojito Thandai recipe for Holi party

Ingredients:
Full cream milk500 ml
Almonds10
Cashews8
Poppy seeds1 tbsp
Fennel seeds1 tsp
Cardamom powder½ tsp
Black pepper½ tsp
Saffron strandsa few
Sugar4 tbsp
Mint leaves8–10
White rum (optional)60 ml
Ice CubeAs required
Method:
  • Soak Fennel seeds, poppy seeds, cashews and almonds in water for two hours. Grind with a small amount of milk to a smooth paste.
  • Add the cardamom powder, black pepper, saffron, and sugar after straining the mixture into the remaining milk.
  • To release flavours, add mint leaves and muddle gently.
  • If using, add White rum, then ice cubes. Stir well and serve chilled.
Rang Barse Cooler (Layered Coluor Splash Drink)

Ingredients: Mocktail Version
Blue Curacao Syrup (non-alcoholic)50 ml
Orange Juice100 ml
Sweet Lemonade or Sprite100 ml
Basil seeds (sabja) soaked1 tsp
Ice cubes
Ingredients: Cocktail Version
Add 30 ml white rum or vodka to the Blue Curacao layer before adding the juices.
Method:
  • In a tall glass, add soaked basil seeds at the bottom. Carefully pour Blue Curacao syrup for the first layer. Gently pour orange juice over a spoon to avoid mixing. Top with sweet lemonade or Sprite for the final layer. Garnish with a slice of orange or edible flower.
Guava Chili Bomb (Guava Masala Smash)

Ingredients: Mocktail version
Guava Juice (pink preferred for colour)150 ml
Lemon Juice15 ml
Black Salt and Red Chili PowderOne Pinch
Tajín or Chili-Salt mixFor rimming
Ice cubes
Mint leavesOptional
Ingredients: Cocktail version
Add 50 ml tequila or vodka to the shaker. Shake well
Method:
  • Rim a glass with chili-salt or Tajín mix. in a shaker, mix guava juice, lemon juice, black salt, and a pinch of chili powder. Shake well and pour over ice in the prepared glass. Garnish with a mint sprig or a slice of chili.
Gulabo Mojito (Rose-Mint Lemonade)

Ingredients: Mocktail version
Rose Syrup60 ml
Fresh Mint Leaves10-12
Lemon Juice20 ml
Sparkling Water or SodaTo top
Ice cubes
Edible rose petalsOptional
Ingredients: Cocktail version
Add 45 ml gin or vodka after muddling the mint and before adding soda.
Method:
  • In a glass, muddle mint leaves with lemon juice and rose syrup. Add ice cubes generously. Top with sparkling water or soda. Stir gently and garnish with rose petals and a mint sprig.
Rang Barse

Ingredients
Vodka60 ml
Home-made Thandai syrup30 ml
Cold milk90 ml
Rose water5 ml
Crushed ice
Crushed pistachiosFor garnish
Rose petalsFor garnish
Method:
  • In a shaker, add vodka, thandai syrup, cold milk, and rose water. Fill with crushed ice and shake well.
  • Strain into a chilled glass.
  • Garnish with crushed pistachios and rose petals.
  • Tip: For a non-alcoholic version, skip the vodka and add a dash of honey for extra sweetness.
Phoolon ki Holi Punch

Lychee Juice2 ounce
Rose Syrup½ ounce
Elderflower Syrup½
SodaTo top up
Method:
  • Put all the ingredients together in a glassware. Shake well and serve in High Ball glass. Garnish your mocktail with rose petals.
