Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar was a grand affair, featuring over 2,500 world-famous dishes, including special midnight snacks that caught everyone's attention.
Held at the Ambanis' vast 750-acre property, Reliance Greens, the event drew celebrities, industrialists, and business tycoons from all over the world. The highlight of the celebration was the extensive variety of food available. The menu for the March 2 festivities was especially elaborate, showcasing cuisines from around the globe and dishes prepared by celebrity chefs like Ritu Dalmia, Loic Portalier, and Selin Kiazim.
Beverage section
The beverage section at the prewedding celebrations in Jamnagar was diverse, with options ranging from trendy kombuchas and bubble teas to traditional Indian drinks like Bikaner Chattri Gola and Chuski Pepsi. Guests also enjoyed unique ice creams from Thailand’s IceDEA brand, including animal-shaped and nature-inspired flavours.
Traditional Indian
A special section of the menu was dedicated to traditional Indian flavours and home-grown brands. Mumbai’s Khau Gully featured local street food like Vada Pao and Masala Khichiya, while Surat’s Bhai Bhai Omelette Centre offered a variety of egg dishes.
American cuisine
The menu also included American classics curated by chef Ritu Dalmia and modern Indian dishes from the award-winning restaurant Avartana.
Thai and Turkish food
The pre-wedding event highlighted international cuisines as well, with chef Loic Portalier preparing European dishes and chef Tukta Puripanya serving authentic Thai food. Selin Kiazim curated a Turkish menu, adding to the global culinary experience.
Midnight snacks
The after-party menu focused on trendy and Instagram-worthy setups, with a range of fondue options served by Ritu Dalmia, shawarma rolls from Middle Eastern brand Maroosh, and unique stations like a Maggi bar and a slider bar.
The ‘spiked’ station
The 'Spiked' station served dishes like spaghetti with vodka sauce and Tequila Spiked Classic Chilli Rellenos Soft Tortillas, adding a fun twist to the night. Vegan guests weren't left out either and they were served plant-based options available throughout the event.
Gujarat special
Chef Surabhi Sehgal highlighted the fact that the festivities had plant-based food for vegans. She shared her gratitude for the experience in Jamnagar. The celebration also paid homage to Gujarati culinary traditions, with Vadodara-based caterers Jay Excellency setting up an elaborate kiosk featuring popular Gujarati dishes and snacks.
