A starry, starry night in Jamnagar for Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash

The heavens last night were empty, because all the stars were at Jamnagar for Day One of the Ambani pre-wedding extravaganza. The highly-anticipated three-day celebrations kicked off on Friday night with ‘An Evening in Everland’ – a party attended by everyone from Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates to Shah Rukh Khan and MS Dhoni. The night marked the beginning of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities that will go on till March 3.

For the three days of celebrations, some of the biggest names from the world of tech, finance, entertainment and business have descended upon the sprawling Ambani estate in Jamnagar. Guests flew in earlier this week on chartered jets and commercial airlines, were welcomed at the airport with refreshments before being whisked away to Reliance Greens, where preparations have been underway for months to host the high-profile names.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani were photographed with their daughter-in-law-to-be Radhika Merchant. While Nita Ambani looked resplendent in a maroon outfit, Merchant was all smiles in her rose gold ensemble.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also opted for a saree. She was photographed at the party with husband Saif Ali Khan and their elder son Taimur.

Bill Gates with Anant Ambani and Mukesh Ambani on Day One of the pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar. The co-founder of Microsoft flew into India a few days ago and met PM Modi before arriving in Jamnagar.

The highlight of the night was Rihanna's performance. The singer set the stage on fire. This was the first time that Rihanna performed in India.

Anant Ambani is the younger son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. He is expected to marry Radhika Merchant in July this year.
