The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is anticipated to announce the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2023 results.
In the first two months of 2024, the commission interviewed candidates who qualified for the Civil Services (Main) Examination held on September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2023.
Currently, Ishita Kishore holds the position of UPSC topper for 2022 results. Securing the top spot in the 2022 Civil Services Examination with a score of 1094, Kishore currently serves in her home state of Uttar Pradesh (UP). Following closely behind were Garima Lohia (1063 marks) and Uma Harathin (1060 marks), who are now deployed in Bihar and Telangana, respectively.
In 2021, Shruti Sharma (1105 marks) topped and was posted in UP.
In 2020, Shubham Kumar (1072 marks) topped and was posted in Bihar.
In 2019, Pradeep Singh (1072 marks) topped and was posted in Haryana.
In 2018, Kanishak Kataria (1121 marks) topped and was posted in Rajasthan.
In 2017, Anudeep Durishetty (1126 marks) topped and was posted in Bihar.
In 2024, the number of vacancies to be filled through the examination is expected to be approximately 1,105 which include 37 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.
The final number of vacancies may undergo change after getting a firm number of vacancies from Cadre Controlling Authorities. Reservation will be made for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes. Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the Economically Weaker Sections.
As per the decision taken by the Government for increasing the access of unemployed to job opportunities, the Commission will publicly disclose the scores of the candidates (obtained in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test) through the public portals. The disclosure will be made in 4 Government strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply.
