A 36-year-old woman, identified as Isha Chabria, has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody after attempting to unlawfully enter the residence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The incident occurred in the early hours of May 21 at Galaxy Apartments, Khan’s well-known home in Bandra, Mumbai.
Chabria, who claims to be a model, was arrested shortly after trying to gain access to the building around 3 a.m. According to police reports, she knocked on the actor’s door and told authorities she had been personally invited by Khan himself. She further alleged that she had met a member of the Khan family during the attempt.
The police, however, found no evidence to support her claims. During questioning, Chabria stated that she resides in Khar and had previously met Salman Khan at a party about six months ago. However, Khan’s family has categorically denied any acquaintance with the woman or any invitation extended to her.
She was produced before a Bandra court on Friday, where the magistrate ordered her into judicial custody for 14 days, citing the seriousness of the incident and the ongoing threats to Khan’s safety from criminal elements.
Notably, Chabria’s intrusion attempt came just a day after another trespassing incident at the same location. On May 20, a man named Jitendra Kumar Singh also tried to enter Galaxy Apartments to meet the actor. He was initially stopped by police around 9:45 a.m. and asked to leave. Instead of complying, he caused a commotion, smashing his phone in frustration. Singh later returned in a car reportedly used by a building resident in an attempt to re-enter.
“I wanted to meet Salman Khan, but the police were not letting me, so I tried to hide,” Singh told investigators.
Both incidents have raised concerns over the security arrangements at Galaxy Apartments, especially in light of past threats against the actor from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The Mumbai Police have registered separate cases in connection with the two trespassers and are reviewing security protocols at Khan’s residence.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, and additional security measures are expected to be introduced to prevent similar breaches in the future.
