Sushmita Sen, an actress and former Miss Universe, recently offered her thoughts on the current discussion about Pakistani actors' comeback to Hindi cinema.
Following actor Fawad Khan's highly anticipated return to Bollywood with the upcoming movie Abir Gulaal starring Vani Kapoor, she made these remarks.
Discussions regarding Pakistani artists' involvement in Indian films have been rekindled in political and entertainment circles as a result of the film's teaser release.
Sushmita was questioned about her thoughts on Fawad Khan and other Pakistani actors appearing in Indian films once more in an interview with Instant Bollywood. Her response fervently promoted artistic collaboration and creative freedom, even though she refrained from delving into the political complexities of the issue.
“Dekhiye mujhe itna sab nahi pata. Mujhe sirf pata hai ki hunar aur creativity mein koi boundaries nahi hoti. Honi bhi nahi chahiye. Kyunki yehi ek cheez hai—Ek sports hai, aur ek humari creative field hai, jahaa par our creativity is born from freedom. So I wish that for everyone. There is no Sarhad for that,” Sen expressed.
Her remarks reflected a sentiment that many artists hold: that art, like sports, transcends national boundaries and thrives in an environment of liberty and respect for one another.
