Sudhanshu Pandey, famously known for his portrayal of Vanraj Shah in the popular TV show 'Anupamaa,' has announced his departure from the show.
The actor's role as the antagonist made him a household name, contributing to the show's immense success. Since its premiere in 2020, 'Anupamaa' has consistently topped the TRP charts, with Sudhanshu, Rupali Ganguly, and Gaurav Khanna emerging as fan favorites.
Rumors had recently circulated that both Rupali and Gaurav were planning to leave the show. However, it was Sudhanshu who confirmed his exit, much to the surprise of his fans. In an emotional Instagram live session on Wednesday evening, Sudhanshu revealed his decision to leave the show.
During the live session, he shared, "Mai pichle chaar saal se roj pahuch raha hun apke ghar ek daily soap ke jariye, ek kirdar play kar raha hu jiske liye mujhe bahut sara pyar or narazgi mili, but wo narazgi bhi ek tarike se pyar hi raha hai. Agar aap naraz na hote mere character dekh kar to mujhe lagta mai sahi tarike se nibha nahi pa raha hoon."

Although Sudhanshu did not disclose the exact reason for his departure, the show's producer, Rajan Shahi, has reassured fans that Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna are still very much a part of the series.
Sudhanshu has been focusing on his music career, which he had put on hold to pursue acting. He recently released a single titled "Behisaba" and announced the reunion of A Band Of Boys, who have just released their new song, "Gori Again."
Other actors who have left 'Anupamaa' include Paras Kalnawat, who played Samar, and Aneri Vajani, who portrayed Malvika. Both left to explore new opportunities in their careers, but their exits left a significant impact on the show's narrative.
