Simi Grewal, Neetu Kapoor, and Tina Munim Ambani reunited to celebrate 45 years of the cult classic Karz. Neetu Kapoor attended the event on behalf of her late husband, reminiscing about the film that remains one of his most memorable performances.

During the Q&A session, director Subhash Ghai shared an interesting behind-the-scenes story from Karz. He revealed that the iconic song Dard-E-Dil, Dard-E-Jigar Dil Mein Jagaaya Aap Ne, featuring Rishi Kapoor, was filmed without the involvement of a choreographer. This decision surprised Rishi Kapoor, who questioned Ghai, asking, "Do you have any sense of music?" The anecdote left the audience amused, highlighting the camaraderie and creative energy that shaped the film.

For those unfamiliar with Karz, the film tells the gripping tale of Ravi, a man who is tragically murdered by his wife soon after their marriage. He is reincarnated as Monty, a successful singer, who, while on a holiday in Ooty, begins to recall memories from his past life. Determined to uncover the truth, he starts searching for his family and confronts his treacherous wife, Kamini, leading to a thrilling climax.

Produced by Akhtar Farooqui and Jagjit Khurana, Karz remains a timeless classic, further elevated by the unforgettable music of the legendary composer duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal.

At The Red Lorry Film Festival, Subhash Ghai was honored through a dedicated segment titled Legacy Rewind. This special tribute celebrated his immense contributions to Indian cinema, recognizing his influential storytelling, cinematic brilliance, and enduring legacy in the industry.
