Sonu Sood added another chapter to his real-life heroism on Saturday, July 19, as he rescued a rat snake that had entered the premises of a residential society in Mumbai. The incident, which quickly garnered attention online, was shared by the actor himself through a video posted on his official social media platforms.
In the clip, Sonu is seen identifying the snake as a non-venomous rat snake. “This is a rat snake, non-venomous, but we have to be very careful,” he said, and urged people not to attempt such rescues themselves. “If such snakes enter your society, always call professionals. I know how to handle them, so I did. But please be careful. It’s very important not to take risks.”
In the video, Sonu is seen capturing the snake barehanded and placing it safely inside a pillow cover. He then instructs his staff to release the reptile in a nearby forested area, ensuring both the community and the animal are safe.
While many netizens praised Sonu for his composure and courage, the actor was quick to steer the conversation toward public safety and awareness. His central message remained clear - while some snakes may be harmless, attempting to handle them without proper training can be dangerous, both to the individual and the animal.
On the work front, Sood was recently seen in Fateh, a cybercrime thriller that marked his directorial debut. The film features a notable ensemble, including Naseeruddin Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.
