Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has added a fun twist to the excitement surrounding the movie Pushpa 2 in his latest Instagram video. The video was shared by Jadeja to announce his return to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the upcoming 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. However, it was the Pushpa reference that caught everyone's attention.
In the video, Jadeja recreated one of the most iconic dialogues from Pushpa 2, where the character, played by Allu Arjun, declares, "My name is a brand." This line became a fan favorite after the film’s release, and Jadeja used it to announce his own return to CSK, drawing a connection between his return and the film's massive popularity.
What made the video even more special was when Jadeja mimicked Allu Arjun’s famous signature pose. In the pose, Allu Arjun slides his hand under his chin, and Jadeja recreated it perfectly, adding a fun twist to his IPL promo.
Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, was a massive hit at the box office. The movie set several records, even surpassing previous blockbusters like Baahubali and KGF. It became the highest-grossing film in India, earning a total of Rs 1,345 crores. After its theatrical success, the film also performed well on Netflix, gaining great audience retention.
The success of Pushpa 2 has led to a lot of buzz about its third installment. The movie’s end credits hinted at a possible sequel, and reports suggest that actor Vijay Deverakonda might join the cast. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has already moved on to other projects, including collaborations with director Trivikram Srinivas and filmmaker Atlee for a pan-India film, with actors Janhvi Kapoor and Sivakarthikeyan rumored to be part of the project.
