The Juhu Police Station has officially registered a case under Section 356(3) of the Bharruya Nyay Sanhita, 2023. This section deals with offenses related to defamation and tarnishing an individual’s reputation. Raj Kundra’s complaint was filed based on a court order.

Kundra has spoken publicly about his decision to pursue legal action, explaining that he had no choice but to take this step after several failed attempts to resolve the issue privately.

He shared "I am forced to take this step. On multiple occasions, they have tarnished my image by publishing false and defamatory statements.”

He further explained that despite sending notices to the media outlets involved, asking them to remove the false content, no action was taken. “Despite sending takedown notices and giving them the opportunity to retract, no action was taken,” Kundra added. His frustration stems from the fact that these media outlets ignored his requests, leaving him with no other option but to escalate the matter legally.

Kundra is currently involved in an ongoing legal battle. Kundra said he has confidencr in the legal system, “I have full faith in the law. I don’t deserve to be pronounced guilty in a trial by the media.”

The businessman’s main concern is the impact that these false reports have had on his reputation. As a public figure, Kundra believes that the media has a responsibility to report the facts accurately, and he is troubled by what he sees as a deliberate effort to damage his image. He explained that the media’s actions have affected his personal and professional life, and he feels that his legal action is necessary to clear his name.

The court has granted the Juhu Police permission to investigate the case further and file a First Information Report (FIR) against the individuals responsible for the defamatory claims. This investigation is expected to be thorough, and Kundra is hopeful that it will not only restore his reputation but also hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
