Rapper Raftaar, whose real name is Dilin Nair, tied the knot with actress and fashion stylist Manraj Jawanda earlier this year in a beautiful ceremony held on 31 January.
Blending their diverse backgrounds, the wedding paid tribute to both Sikh and Malayali traditions, creating a vibrant and heartfelt union reminiscent of a true 2 States celebration.
Now, six months into married life, Raftaar has delighted fans with a behind-the-scenes look at his joyous haldi ceremony. On 30 July, the rapper shared a heartwarming video on Instagram, capturing the essence of love, laughter, and pre-wedding chaos. Covered head-to-toe in haldi (turmeric paste), Raftaar smiles at the camera and says, “I really wanna have a bath though. But this is love, and I really love it!”
The video is perfectly set to Ban Titli from Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Manto, while Manraj twirls playfully in a white sharara and yellow dupatta, embodying the butterfly-like vibe of the song. Glimpses of her intricate mehendi and natural makeup add an intimate touch to the celebration.
In a particularly fun moment, the couple walks in together beaming, and Manraj remarks, “He goes out of his comfort zone for me.” Raftaar jokes in reply, “Like this, right now,” referencing the ongoing video shoot. His cheeky comment, “Bhai uski kamar bohot upar hai, mera khaandaan uncha hone wala hai,” has her in fits of laughter.
Raftaar captioned the post, “Ashirwaad banaye rakhna. Love from NAIRs and JAWANDAs.”
The couple are later seen dancing with friends and family, sharing a warm embrace with Manraj’s grandmother, and getting doused in flower petals and haldi. As the video closes with a loving kiss, the joy is unmistakable.
The video quickly went viral, with over 1.2 million views.
Reactions poured in from fans and celebrities alike—Ashish Vidyarthi wrote, “Waaaaaaah.. Dil se,” while Aastha Gill commented, “So cuteeeeeeeeeee.” One fan joked, “Nazar lagne ka sawaal hi nahi, nazar can’t reach up to that height!”
