Since its release on December 5, 2024, Pushpa 2: The Rule has been shattering records. The Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer has now achieved a new milestone, with its Hindi dubbed version surpassing the Rs 800 crore mark in India, as confirmed by the makers.
Mythri Movie Makers took to Instagram on Sunday and shared that Pushpa 2 has become the first ever Hindi release to cross Rs 800 crore nett at the box office. Along with a poster, the caption read, "Brand #Pushpa inaugurates 800 crore CLUB in Hindi #Pushpa2TheRule has a RECORD BREAKING COLLECTION in Hindi with 806 crores nett in 31 days."
According to Sacnilk, Pushpa 2: The Rule has earned a total of Rs 1202.2 crore, combining the collections from all languages. The new year kicked off with a bang for Pushpa 2, as the film became the quickest to join the Rs 1800 crore club in worldwide collection, a feat previously only achieved by Aamir Khan's Dangal.
In Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun portrays the character of Pushpa Raj, with Rashmika Mandanna playing his wife, Srivalli. Fahadh Faasil takes on the role of his fierce adversary, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat.
Pushpa 2 made headlines for a different reason as well when Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the tragic death of a 35-year-old woman during a stampede-like situation at a screening in Hyderabad. The incident occurred as fans rushed to catch a glimpse of the actor.
He was arrested on December 13, 2024, but was granted interim bail on December 14. His interim bail, valid for four weeks, is set to end on January 10, 2025. According to the court's order, Allu Arjun must report to the SHO at the Chikkadpally police station every Sunday between 10 AM and 1 PM for a duration of two months or until the charge sheet is submitted, whichever happens first.
