Pushpa 2: The Rule has broken the record again by earning Rs 1000 crore worldwide in just six days of release.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is breaking records at the box office, becoming the fastest film to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark globally. The blockbuster sequel grossed Rs 1002 crore on the sixth day after its release on December 5. Directed by Sukumar, the film achieved this feat in just six days, setting a new benchmark in Indian cinema.

In its remarkable run at the box office, Pushpa 2 has surpassed the record set by Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan for the highest Hindi gross in nine days. The Allu Arjun starrer achieved a remarkable Rs 370 crore in just six days, breaking Pathaan's record of Rs 351 crore.

Here’s a look at other films that made history by surpassing Rs 1,000 crore in worldwide earnings.

Dangal

Starring Aamir Khan, Dangal became the first Bollywood film to reach this remarkable milestone, earning a massive Rs 2051 crore worldwide. The film tells the inspiring story of Mahavir Singh Phogat, an ex-wrestler who trains his daughters to win gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, defying societal norms and challenging deep-rooted prejudices.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion

SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, featuring Prabhas and Anushka Shetty, was a massive success both critically and commercially. The 2017 epic became the first South Indian film to gross over Rs 1,000 crore globally, eventually surpassing Rs 1,800 crore in total worldwide earnings.

RRR

RRR, which was also one of Rajamouli's greatest work, became another global sensation. The period drama featuring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR was a fictional retelling of the lives of Telugu freedom fighters Alluru Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, earned over Rs 1,288 crore worldwide. The film also marked Bollywood star Alia Bhatt’s debut in Telugu cinema and garnered international acclaim, winning an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for its music.

Kalki 2898 AD

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the epic sci-fi action thriller Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone, grossed a remarkable Rs 1,042 crore globally, according to Sacnilk reports. Set in a dystopian future of 2898 AD, the film follows a selected team on a crucial mission to protect the unborn child, Kalki, and safeguard humanity’s future.

Pathaan

After a two-year hiatus, Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, made a grand return to the big screen with Pathaan in 2023. The film follows an Indian secret agent, Pathaan, as he forms a special unit to stop a Pakistani general who hires a terror group to launch attacks in India. The film was a massive success, grossing Rs 1050 crore worldwide.

Jawaan

Shah Rukh Khan captivated audiences once again with his stellar performance in Jawan, which was released in 2023 and grossed around Rs 1152 crore worldwide. With both of his films in 2023 becoming massive hits, Khan solidified his dominance at the box office that year.
