Producer Sajid Nadiadwala drops shocking revelation

The much-anticipated film Yek Number, seemingly inspired by the life of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, is set to release on October 10. The buzz around this film has been building for a while, and the excitement reached its peak when the official trailer was unveiled at a grand event in Mumbai on September 25.

The event saw a star-studded gathering, with big names from Bollywood and beyond in attendance, including actor Aamir Khan, producer Sajid Nadiadwala, and renowned filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani and Ashutosh Gowariker. Even Raj Thackeray himself graced the occasion.

While the trailer launch was a high-profile affair, one of the most talked-about moments came during producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s speech. In a surprising revelation, Sajid took a personal turn, sharing an unexpected detail from his journey. He mentioned how his family moved to Maharashtra in 1950 and credited the state for shaping his illustrious career. “Maharashtra has given me a law degree, made me a chartered accountant, and eventually, a film producer,” Sajid said, much to the astonishment of the audience.

Aamir Khan’s reaction, in particular, was priceless—his genuine surprise at learning about Sajid’s qualification as a Chartered Accountant had the audience in stitches.

Yek Number promises to be a gripping film, offering not just an intriguing storyline but also a deep exploration of Raj Thackeray’s political journey in Maharashtra. The film is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and penned by Tejaswini Pandit and Dhairya Gholap. With a powerful narrative and socially relevant themes, the movie aims to make a strong impact.

Adding to the anticipation is the music, composed by the acclaimed duo Ajay-Atul, whose previous work has set high expectations. The film’s technical prowess is also noteworthy, with Sanjay Memane handling cinematography, and Mayur Hardas and Apurva Motiwale leading the editing department. The dynamic Kunal-Karan duo has composed and performed the playback music, while Guru Thakur, Shrirang Godbole, and Ajay-Atul contributed to the lyrics.
