Recently, Prabhas’ playful social media exchange with his Salaar co-star, Prithviraj Sukumaran, has further fueled the hype surrounding both Salaar 2 and Prithviraj's own upcoming project. Taking to Instagram, Prabhas gave a massive shoutout to Prithviraj's directorial venture, L2: Empuraan, which stars the legendary Mohanlal. In his story, Prabhas wrote, "Take a look at the absolutely world-class teaser of #L2 #EMPURAAN. Stunningly shot! Directed by my own Varadha... Starring the one and only Mohanlal, sir! Wishing the whole team the very best." The mention of “Varadha,” Prabhas’ character name from Salaar, added a personal touch to his message.

Prithviraj quickly responded to Prabhas’ post, humorously referring to him by his character name from Salaar as well. He wrote, “Thank you Deva!! See you soon, brother! @actorprabhas.” This light-hearted banter between the two stars only fueled further excitement among fans of both Salaar and L2: Empuraan.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Prithviraj also gave an update on Salaar 2, confirming that the sequel is indeed in the pipeline. However, he clarified that the project’s timeline is currently dependent on Prashanth Neel’s other commitments. “Since Prashanth Neel is busy with his project with Jr. NTR, Salaar 2 will only begin once that film is completed,” he shared. With the immense anticipation surrounding both Salaar 2 and Prithviraj's work, fans can expect some thrilling developments soon.
