All the ladies out there get ready to tighten your corsets as Netflix just unveiled the first trailer of their hit series 'Bridgerton 3' late Thursday evening. Nicola Coughlin (Penelope) and Luke Newton's (Colin) friendship will soon change into a budding romance between the two. This plot is a deviation from the original book written by Julia Quinn's best-selling series.
The trailer begins with the ladies getting ready to woo this summer and Penelope, who is overweight and doesn't fit into the so called 'societal norms of petite girls' seeks a husband this season. Penelope says: "I cannot live at home any longer. I must take a husband."
Colin asks Penelope if they can be friends and he promises to help her find a husband. But through the course of the trailer, we see that Colin is getting attracted to Penelope and he even asks his mother "Mother, do you believe that the best foundation for love is friendship?"
The Shondaland series will focus on the growing proximity between Colin and Penelope. In the previous seasons, viewers have seen that Penelope has always been attracted to Colin but he had gone away to Europe and he is back this season.
'Bridgerton' series is based on Julia Quinn’s hit book series. While the first season's focus was the love story between Daphne and her husband, Simon, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), the second season was all about the romance between Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) who were first enemies but later became lovers.
‘Bridgerton’ Season 3, which will have eight episodes, is all set for the premiere on May 16. And at the end of the trailer, one gets to know that the third season will have two parts and the second one will then premiere on June 13.
