Sreeleela’s new song “Kissik” from the much-anticipated movie Pushpa 2: The Rule has created a significant buzz across social media. Released on November 24, the song marks a grand event in Chennai featuring the lead cast, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.

However, the track has drawn comparisons with the iconic “Oo Antava” performed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the prequel, Pushpa: The Rise. Fans and critics alike are divided on whether “Kissik” can reach the high standards set by Samantha’s sultry performance.

Sreeleela, known for her energetic screen presence, has impressed audiences with her dynamic dance moves in “Kissik.” The song, composed by Devi Sri Prasad and sung by Ujjaini Mukherjee, features peppy beats and high-octane choreography, making it an instant party anthem.

Despite the energy and grandeur of the song, many fans on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) couldn’t help but compare it to Samantha’s “Oo Antava Mawa,” which had captivated audiences with its bold, sensuous vibe.

While some viewers lauded Sreeleela’s efforts, many felt that her performance lacked the unique impact that Samantha brought to “Oo Antava.”

Comments such as “Samantha was on another league in ‘Oo Antava Mawa’” and “No one can beat and match the vibe of #OoAntavaMawa song” surfaced widely. These sentiments reflect the enduring popularity of Samantha’s portrayal, which had set a benchmark for special numbers in Indian cinema.

Nevertheless, “Kissik” has also garnered its share of positive responses. Fans of Sreeleela and the Pushpa franchise hailed the song as the next big hit, predicting its dominance on wedding and party playlists. Comments like “#KissikSong will rule everyone’s playlist” and “a true-blue banger” highlight the enthusiasm around the track’s potential as a dance number.

Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, is one of the most awaited films of the year. Scheduled for release on December 5, the movie promises to be an action-packed sequel that continues the story of Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun. With its stellar cast, including Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, the film is expected to recreate the magic of its predecessor while taking the narrative to new heights.

Despite the mixed reactions to “Kissik,” the song’s release has successfully amped up excitement for the film’s release. The vibrant visuals and infectious energy of the song have already made it a talking point, ensuring that Pushpa 2 stays in the spotlight. Whether or not “Kissik” surpasses “Oo Antava Mawa” in popularity, it undoubtedly adds another layer of excitement to the film’s promotional campaign.
