Tridev actress Sonam Khan remembers co-star Divya Bharti on her death anniversary

Tridev actress Sonam Khan, who worked in many Bollywood hit films in the '90s, remembered her co-actor and late actress Divya Bharti on her death anniversary. Divya Bharti was one of the leading ladies of Bollywood in the 1990s. On April 5, 1993, Divya Bharti fell from the balcony window of her fifth-floor apartment in Versova. She was just 19 years old at the time of her death.

Divya Bharti had worked in many Telugu and Hindi movies; she was one of the highest-paid actresses of her time. Divya was born on February 25, 1974.

Sonam and Divya Bharti had worked together in 'Vishwatma', which was a multi-starrer.

Sharing a picture of Divya Bharti, Sonam wrote a long message for her old friend and co-star. Sonam said she regrets not having a "single decent picture of them together."

"What can I say about Divyaji ? She was full of life, laughter, hope & dreams. I don’t even have a single decent picture of us together because I took life for granted, never thinking that there would be a tragic unexpected end. I was 8 months pregnant when I heard the news of her demise late at night… I will never forget that dark night.

We all think we will live forever.

Which is shattered sometimes in a very sudden & unpleasant way. So please Learn to love & cherish your friends & family NOW !

Because in a moment life can change & sometimes for the worse. So hug each other, love each other do not wait for the right time.

Love you Divya, you left us too soon…

Some times I feel you are still playing a game and will suddenly reappear laughing and jumping trying to scare me, in between shots or after pack up.

Rest in Peace my beloved friend. I know one day we will meet for sure as no one is immortal.

Divya You are missed not only by me, you are missed too by millions of your fans across the world.

No one could or can ever replace you.

Divya Bharti's roles in movies like 'Vishwatma' (1992), 'Shola Aur Shabnam' opposite Govinda were loved by fans, she became an instant star after her film's release. Her 1992 release 'Deewana', with then-debutante Shah Rukh Khan and actor Rishi Kapoor, was a commercial hit. Fans loved the fresh jodi of SRK and Divya; songs from their movie "Aisi deewangi dekhi nahi kahin" and "Sochenge tumhe pyar karein ke nahi" were superhits.

She had also won the Best Debutant Female Award for her film 'Deewana'.

Sonam recently made her debut on Instagram, where she has been sharing things about her life and work in the '90s.
