Lucky Baskhar revolves around the story of a common man played by Dulquer Salmaan, who is a bank cashier driven by his devotion to his family. His character soon finds himself entangled in a world of wealth and greed.
Early reviews from viewers on social media platforms like Twitter have lauded Dulquer Salmaan for his outstanding performance in Lucky Baskhar. Renowned for his versatility, Salmaan brings depth and charisma to the character, effectively portraying Baskhar's complexities. One netizen remarked, “@dulQuer lives in the role of Baskhar. What a gifted actor!” Another user shared, “Dulquer Salmaan’s performance and his punch dialogues are the biggest highlight. Venky Atluri did a fantastic job.”
Venky Atluri, typically recognized for his light-hearted romantic comedies, makes a notable transition with Lucky Bhaskar, a dark thriller that delves into financial scams and the complexities of the banking system. The film thoroughly examines the intricacies of fraud and manipulation within the world of finance. Fans have praised this bold shift in genre, with one review commenting, "I thought Venky Atluri would turn to cliché, but he went into beast mode with powerful writing.”
Lucky Baskhar premiered alongside Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films, including KA, Amaran, and Bhageera, respectively as well as Bollywood releases Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singha Again, all of which were released on the occasion of Diwali this year.
