Ritesh Sidhwani, the co-founder of Excel Entertainment, has achieved another milestone by being invited to join the esteemed Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, announced on Tuesday. This recognition underscores his impactful contributions to cinema, particularly through acclaimed films like ‘Gully Boy’ and ‘Dil Chahta Hai.’ His inclusion in this batch of 487 new members marks the largest intake in four years, highlighting his influential role in shaping global cinema.


Sidhwani's journey with Excel Entertainment has been marked by a string of successes that have resonated both domestically and internationally. Other notable Indian personalities who have received the invitation include ‘RRR’ director SS Rajamouli, famed actress Shabana Azmi, and Rama Rajamouli.
