Mukul Dev is survived by his brother, actor Rahul Dev. However, the exact cause of his death has not been revealed yet. The late actor received touching tribute from Manoj Bajpayee, Vindu Dara Singh and more celebrities.

Manoj Bajpayee pays tribute to Mukul Dev

Bollywood actor Mukul Dev died on Friday, May 23, in Delhi. He was admitted to the ICU after his health deteriorated in the last few days. However, several celebrities, including Manoj Bajpayee, paid tributes to the late actor on social media soon after the reports of the actor’s death swirled around.

Manoj Bajpayee took to his Instagram and paid a tribute to Mukul Dev. He shared a black and white photo of Mukul and prayed for strength for his family.

He wrote in the caption, “It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Miss you meri jaan…until we meet again. Om Shanti.”




Bajpayee shared the same post on his Instagram Story.

Sushmita Singh, who worked with Mukul Dev in her debut film, Dastak, also took to her Instagram to mourn his death. She wrote, "Mukul Dev Rest in peace you wonderful soul."

Kangana Ranaut also took to her Instagram Story and mourned the death of Mukul Dev. She shared a photo of the late actor and wrote, "Terribly sad. RIP Mukul ji."

Mukul Dev's close friend, Kunal Kohli, shared a video montage featuring a series of throwback photos and wrote, "RIP Here are some pics of a holiday in Dalhousie we took before we both entered films. I must've been in college. Mukul and my cousin Mohnish in the 11th or 12th in St. Columbus. Delhi."



However, Neil also paid tribute to Mukul Dev and tweeted, “Really upset with the sad news of dear Mukul leaving us so soon. A powerhouse performer and a lovely person. My deepest condolences to @RahulDevRising @mugdhagodse267 and the entire family. God be with you all during these tough times.. Om Shanti.”

Nimrat Kaur also penned a tribute on her Instagram Story. The actress wrote, "Deepest condolences and all my strength and prayers to the whole family and loved ones. @rahuldevofficial sir thinking of you in this dark hour... Rest in peace Mukul sir."

Bollywood actor Vindu Dara Singh, who was a close friend of Mukul Dev and had co-starred in Son of Sardar, also took to his X (formerly Twitter) and shared a video of the late actor.

He wrote in the tribute, “Rest in peace my brother #MukulDev ! The time spent with you will always be cherished and #SonOfSardaar2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing!”


Mukul Dev is survived by his brother, actor Rahul Dev. However, the exact cause of his death has not been revealed yet.

Mukul Dev, who has left a mark on Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam films, along with the television industry, was 54. He started his acting career in 1996 with the TV series Mumkin.

However, Mukul went on to make his film debut the same year in Dastak, starring alongside Sushmita Sen.
