Malayalam actor Vishnu Prasad died on Thursday at a private hospital in Ernakulam due to complications from a long-term liver disease.

Malayalam actor Vishnu Prasad died on Thursday at a private hospital in Ernakulam due to complications from a long-term liver disease.

According to sources, Prasad had been hospitalized in serious condition for many days as physicians and his family planned a possible liver transplant.

Despite intense treatment, his condition worsened, and he died late Thursday night.

Hi friend and actor Kishor Satya reported his departure on social media: "Dear all, a very sad news... Vishnu Prasad has passed away. He had been undergoing treatment for an illness for some time. Condolences... Praying that his family finds the strength to cope with this untimely loss."

Prasad has starred in several Malayalam films throughout the years, including Kashi, Kai Ethum Doorethu, Runway, Mambazhakaalam, Lion, Ben Johnson, Lokanathan IAS, Pathaka, and Maratha Naadu.

In recent years, he has been in several prominent Malayalam television shows.

He is survived by his two children, Abhirami and Ananika, who have been by his side throughout his illness.

His unexpected death has sent shockwaves through the Malayalam entertainment industry and his numerous followers.
